Poor Myra

My poor little dog is having back problems. I know that is hard to believe but dachshunds have back problems. I took her to the vet today and sure enough my poor baby is getting old. She is developing the usual problem. So she has been put on steroids and a muscle relaxer to help for right now. The vet was very adamant about her losing the extra pounds she has put on. She is supposed to weigh no more than 17 pounds. Today she weighed in at almost 19 pounds. 2 pounds may not sound like a lot but when you are that small that is a lot. So my little dog must go on a diet, which means no more snacks, and exercise more. So that means I have to exercise more. Anything as long as my baby lives longer. Aren't pets supposed to live forever?
