Flying trouble

Next month I am supposed to fly into Denver where my parents will come pick me up. After spending another week and a half with them I am set to fly from Salt Lake to Chicago. I am excited about this trip because it has been 3 years since I was able to get back and see everyone. Now I am beginning to wonder if I will even be able to fly. I have been watching airlines having trouble or going into bankruptcy. I watch and wait for the airline my tickets are on to say they are also having trouble. What in the world is going on? The price of tickets are on the rise and companies are shutting down. I am not looking forward to running the gauntlet of security. It is crazy the things that you can't take or the way you have to pack. Even with the high gas prices I still prefer to drive. All this crap makes me remember why.
