The Ruins

As a book lover I could not resist when I saw the book "The Ruins" on sale at the exchange. I though what the heck I needed a new book to read. It did not take me long to finish this book. I was very disappointed. It was the same plot line as several other "scary" books and movies. Young kids go on adventure, young kids are hunted by something (in this case a vine!), young kids are killed, people come looking in same place. I was not impressed. The book gave no back story to the vine and the village. I can't imagine this book being made into a movie. Lets face it the book is always better than the movie. I am just glad I only spent a few dollars instead of a fortune to go see it in the theaters.
