Morning News
i have to spend a lot of time on the couch getting better so the natural thing to do is watch TV. i am not a huge tv watcher but with nothing else to do but sleep i find myself watching it. i was so disgusted by the morning news. usually i watch to get the weather report then switch the set off but this morning i left it on while i was dozing. when i awoke the sports illustrated swim suit edition was on the screen. HOW IS THIS NEWS? i am sickend at what reporters call news. i don't care what naked women is posing where. what about the presidental race? or the local political race? these two items got approximately 1 minute of coverage and the naked women got almost 10 minutes. i knew there was a reason i turned off my cable. when tv switches to digital i will not be switching. this is not the only disgusting thing i have seen on tv of late. the other night i was flipping through my 6 channels and saw two guys kissing in a car. i was so stunned and grossed out. what has come over this world?

When I became a stay at home mom, I started watching The Early Show (CBS was my only channel) to stay up to date on my current events. I quickly decided that those morning news shows are in it for the ratings just like every other show, with possibly the exception of the evening news. I find them to be a little better at sticking to "real" news.
I, too, am shocked at what is considered entertainment these days. We don't even bother paying for cable.
