Running the gauntlet

illinois is not known for its smooth well maintained roads. after the last storm and the resulting conditions the roads have gone from "these suck" to more like "what the hell is that?" or worse. i was driving home playing dodge the pothole a BMW was lost into one of them. I thought there were a couple of times Jerimiah (our jeep) was in for it. the crappy thing is this wonderful state will take until late summer to fix the worse ones and yet they raise property taxes. i can't wait to leave here.
